| Sure dealers do it all of the time on a lot of cars but here's why it's not a great idea on the Z: 1) We have a lot more exposed electronics than the average car and they are usually crammed in there or hard to get at to dry off and/or cover properly.  2) The replacement PTU unit from the recalls is quite a mess compared to stock and is a lot more exposed. 3) We're talking about ~15 year old cars here, not 3-4 year old cars on a dealer's lot. It's FAR more likely that you have split wires, brittle hoses, etc on these motors and a pressure wash ups the risk of problems. 4) Simple cost versus gain. Saving a few hours of cleaning on something you'll only need to do once a year or less isn't worth the possible NIGHTMARES people can have if things go wrong. We see those posts every few months. It's not worth it to me, that's for damn sure.  To each their own.
